Dr. Kiran Rai specializes in the area of Business Laws. Before joining School Of Law, Galgotias University, she had worked as Assistant Professor with ICFAI Business School (IBS), Ahmedabad, and thereafter with Institute Of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad & Amity Law School, Amity University, Noida. Post her doctorate, she has five years’ experience in teaching Business Law to graduate and post graduate students. She has taught various subjects which include Company Law, Law of Contract, Corporate Governance, Merger & Acquisition, Environmental Studies, Constitutional Law, Legal Research, Business Entrepreneurship, Business Communication & Soft Skills. She has many awards & recognitions to her credit. She is recipient of university gold medals in LL.B. & LL.M. She received Best Paper Presentation award for presenting paper on “Surrogacy, an Outsourced Business to India – Issues & Perspectives” in the International Conference on “Indigenous Managerial Practices”, held in Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu in July, 2009. Her paper on “Increasing Sales Person’s Face Time With Customers – Redefining Roles & Responsibilities” was published as Cover Story in the January, 2010 issue of “Marketing Mastermind” magazine (an ICFAI University Press publication). She was invited as an expert by Institute of Technology, Nirma University for the framing of the syllabus of an elective course ‘Law For Engineers’ and delivered the course as Visiting Faculty in Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She has presented several papers in many International and National Conferences. Her research papers and articles have been published in various magazines and journals and some are under publication. She has successfully convened a workshop for sensitizing police personnel on women’s legal rights in collaboration with National Commission For Woman (NCW) in March, 2012. She has also organized a national seminar in collaboration with National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in November, 2012. Dr. Rai was enrolled with the Bar Council of India in the year 2000.
