Research Project-III : SINCE October, 2024
The ideas and ideals of Rural South Asia are primarily inspired from the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi based on his ideals of Gram Swaraj and village development as villages of India are the backbone of Indian society Rural South Asian Initiatives intends to promote activities and work in close associations with Gram Panchayats.
With these associations’ interactions, connectedness will be enriched to develop projects which will enable village understandings and bring into close association academic research with that of inherent rural societies of India. In these initiatives we have reached out with village communities in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. With their regional outlets offices in Gujarat, Maharashtra and now in Uttar Pradesh too.
Primary activities under these initiatives are as follows:
- Pilot survey of the villages
- Scouting alliances with the Gram Panchayats
- Documenting Knowledge Systems of the villages
- Empowering knowledge bearing communities and village entities
