Scholars and researchers interested in Rural South Asia intend and propose to initiate work on the following lines in the coming future:
1. RURAL SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES GROUP - RSASG Learners and scholars working in the areas of Rural South Asia will form a group where their published works will be shared and also scholars will be encouraged to share their research works through the time to time meetings of these interested scholars of Rural South Asia. These meetings will be held in various connected universities and research organisations working for the cause of Rural South Asia. The objective of RSASG will be to further the researches in the themes of Rural South Asia Studies.
2. RURAL SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES NETWORK - RSASN The scholars connected through rural south Asian studies group will be directly linked through each other with its digital network maintained with the website: www.ruralsouthasia.org scholars through this digital network will develop discussion groups, could share their published work and will be facilitated to share their research work or queries related to rural south Asia. Online database of references and archives of works on different themes of rural south Asian studies will be streamed and uploaded through this network.
3. RURAL SOUTH ASIAN HISTORY NETWORK - RSAHN In Rural South Asia Studies Group a special emphasis is on to have a group of scholar working on the historical aspects of Rural South Asia. Therefore, scholars working on specific areas of rural history of south Asia are encouraged to be part of this network. This network will facilitate history learners and scholars to come together through conferences, workshops, and field based workshops etc. will be supported through this network.
4. RURAL SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES JOURNAL - RSASJ Our Rural South Asian Studies Journal has started and its first issue begin with Vol. 1, No. 1 of 2015. The Rural South Asian Studies Journal promotes qualitative and interdisciplinary research and publishes the selected works in its annual journal.
